Two independent directions
Hear the translation through your headphones and send your microphone’s translation to the call, with separate language and device settings.
Voice translation for your calls
Listen in your language and let your words reach the other person in theirs. Vocalia keeps both directions of the conversation separate, from your microphone to your headphones.

Translation: Hi, shall we begin?
Original voice: Yes, I’m ready.
Translation: Sí, estoy listo.
Speak, listen, understand
Vocalia connects voice translation to your call setup. One channel translates what you hear; the other translates what you say. Choose your languages and devices, then stay in control of the session.

The connection to your call
VB-CABLE A+B creates the virtual audio devices that connect Vocalia to your calling app. Cable A brings the call’s audio into Vocalia; cable B sends your translated speech to the call.
A + B
In your calling app: select CABLE-A Input as the output and CABLE-B Output as the microphone on Windows; select VB-Cable A as the output and VB-Cable B as the input on macOS. Use these connections in Vocalia:
| Vocalia channel | Input | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Listening to the call | CABLE-A Output (Windows) / VB-Cable A (macOS) | Your headphones |
| Translating your microphone | Your physical microphone | CABLE-B Input (Windows) / VB-Cable B (macOS) |
Before you begin
The connection uses virtual audio devices. Your calling app must let you choose its microphone and audio output. Configure the two cables and check the audio routing before use.
No. Obtain and install VB-CABLE A+B separately from VB-Audio. There are different packages for Windows and macOS; choose the one for your system and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
No. Sign in with your Vocalia account: the service manages the key and issues temporary authorization. The app sends audio directly to Google Gemini for translation.
One minute covers both channels active during the same period. Usage follows authorized translation periods, rather than speaking time alone. End the session completely when you have finished; pausing the input does not close it.
When translated speech plays through speakers, the microphone can pick it up and translate it again. Headphones help reduce this feedback, along with correctly selected inputs and outputs.
